Use the website below to plan a trip tomorrow from Penzance to Truro, then to Newquay, then to Bodmin, followed by back to Penzance.
You need at least 30 minutes in each town.
Challenge 3
Your task is to plan a trip from Mounts Bay Academy to the top of the London Eye. You must only use the following forms of public transport to make your journey:
- Bus
- Train
- Walk (no more than 3 miles in an one go)
There are a few rules:
- You can only use scheduled transport ie. you cannot hire a plane and fly direct.
- You must use at least three of the five forms of transport (you can use all four if you like).
- You need to keep a record of how much the trip costs.
- The main task is to make sure all the different parts of the trip fit together ie. there is no point in getting to the airport after the plane has taken off!
- Assume you are travelling as two adults
- DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING or put your personal data onto any websites!!
Presenting your work You will present your solution to this challenge as a poster or Keynote presentation. Points will be awarded for:
- Journeys that correctly get you to the destination.
- The quickest journey
- The cheapest journey
- Neat presentation
- Most exciting or interesting route.
